Greyhounds in the Bournemouth area:

Loving
home wanted for Eric, a cuddly 3 year old black greyhound
who is living in a foster home
in
Bournemouth
with another dog, at the
moment. Eric
would make a lovely family pet where there are perhaps older
children and would benefit from being homed with another dog
for companionship. He likes to jump in the car, adores his
walks and gets quite excited when seeing other dogs happily
playing. He loves soft toys and has been known to steal
gloves and slippers and take them back to his bed! Eric
is up-to-date with vaccination, worming, flea treatment,
etc., and has lovely clean teeth. He has also been
castrated. Eric
hasn’t had the best start to his retirement and deserves
lots of love and affection to make him feel secure and
confident. He is looking forward to finding a nice sofa or
soft bed to lie on in his new home. Enquiries
welcome. Please contact Sue at Greyhounds in Need on 01202

GWEN BLACK AND WHITE - 4 YEARS OLD |
Duffy likes to talk to you and seems a bit more confident than Gwen, although they are both very outgoing dogs. They are both house trained. They both adore their food. They do not have to be homed together and do not depend on each other. They would be quite happy as only pets. They act a lot younger than their age and are best suited to a more active household. They are not for the elderly as very energetic. They have been cat tested. Both are very nice little girls, very friendly and affectionate, and will make excellent family pets. They are also very small in size. |

Arnie - blue - 20 months old |
A
real baby at heart, he is still learning about the big wide world.
He is initially very shy but he does come around in time and then acts
like a typical puppy, full of fun and mischief. He is a very clean dog
in the kennel and he does like his food although he is not greedyand
will take a little time when eating. He will make a very good family pet
albeit for someone who has got the time to spend with a very young dog.
He does go out on his walks but he is quite shy/nervous about it, but
with time and realising that it can be fun outside, he will adapt quite
quickly. He is ok with other greyhounds and large/medium breeds. He has
not been tested with small dogs, but there is a good chance that he is
ok with them. He has not been tested with cat. He is best suited to
living with children over 10 years old. |

households and is okay with medium to large breed dogs. He is not okay
with cats. He is okay with children. He is very clean in his kennel, a
good eater and generally a nice dog. |

dog with a lot of personality and will give you a lot of enjoyment, he has
a very nice character. He will make a good family pet perhaps for someone
who is a bit more active as he has a lot of energy. He is ok with medium
to large breed dogs, he has not been tested with small breeds. He is not
ok with cats. He would be best suited with older children (10 yrs plus) as

Chelsea - blue with white ticks - 4 years old |
Chelsea is a very temperamental dog and does not like to be touched on the belly, feet, mouth or ears, she can snap if you push her patience. She will need an experienced dog owner who can read the signals she gives in her body language. She is quite a passive dog and when she does snap will back down when you raise your voice. On the other hand when she is in a good mood she is very affectionate and will often jump up for a hug and a cuddle and give you lots of kisses. She enjoys a game and when you encourage her she will spin around and run and jump and play with you. She is happy to live with a greyhound boy. She is okay with medium and large breed dogs but has not been tested with small dogs. She is not okay with cats. She enjoys her food but is not greedy and will only eat her fill. She walks well on the lead and she will be a lovely family pet for the right person, she has a very cheeky personality. She must be homed with an adult only household, no children. |
